My interest in photography started as far back as 9 years old. I remember my first camera, a Kodak Brownie, that used a 120 roll film – it still had to be advanced to the number through a little red window.

I upgraded two years later to a Kodak Instamatic 126 because my mother identified my photographic skills and passion for the camera.

I received a Praktica Super TL in grade 10 and this was when it all happened. A darkroom was equipped, shared with a wine cellar,  and everything revolved around understanding exposure, processing and printing. After this, I was exposed to the retail trade and freelanced in weddings, portraits, press and many other facets.

In 1986 I made a career change and joined a marketing company until 2014 – in this period I maintained my interest in photography and changed to the digital world. After 34 years of retail and corporate life, I decided to call it a day and return to my passion, photography. I love working with people and animals.

I am fully equipped for studio work (portable as well), but prefer using natural light and I enjoy the less formal “un-posed” approach. Currently I photograph for corporate events, portraits, sport, weddings,  fashion, birthdays, families, pets, children and many other styles.

I am based in Cape Town and can travel anywhere, anytime. If you are looking for a quality product and years of experience at affordable prices, call me on 062 277 2206 or email me now.
